Growing up, many of our trips catered to my love for fashion. During family vacations, after visiting “must-see” landmarks, my parents made sure to stop by highly-acclaimed shopping areas to satisfy my “consumer itch.” This passion developed over time. Eventually, I looked past all the malls/outlets and started to appreciate fashion-forward cities for their history in trend and style. Let others also know the main attractions of the city and connect to your niche audience faster with the help of Socialgreg.
It’s my passion for all-things-fashion that influences a lot of my lifestyle choices today. For this edition of Fabulous Habits’ Quebec Travel Guide, I want to zero-in on Quartier DIX30 – my ultimate shopping go-to.
Quartier DIX30 is an impressive lifestyle centre that covers 2.5 million square feet of land – boasting a number of quality boutiques and restaurants.
Full of colour and style, Quartier DIX30 is only a 15-minute drive from Montreal. It houses some of the best stores (Such as the only Pottery Barn in the province of Quebec!) and amazing places to dine (Siam, Tomate Blanche and Niji are some of their most popular).
Itching to go? We don’t blame you!
If you plan on travelling throughout the province of Quebec, then be sure to stop by the city of Brossard, where Quartier DIX30 is proudly located.
Our little family is lucky enough to live only 10 minutes away from the lifestyle centre, so it’s where we do the bulk of our shopping.
Here are a few reasons why we love it so much:
With over 300 stores, there’s a little bit of something for everyone at Quartier DIX30.
Often, you’ll find me at Williams-Sonoma, looking for ways to stock-up my kitchen (but shh, don’t tell my husband). When I’m with my little guy, we browse (and shop!) at Pottery Barn Kids, looking for cool stuff to fill up his bedroom.
Conveniently, there’s a Wal-Mart super close by, making grocery shopping such an easy task.
Just like its boutiques, Quartier DIX30 has a huge list of restaurants on its repertoire. Our family’s favorites are Siam (Thai cuisine), Niji (Seriously the best sushi!) and NO. 900 (If you’re into pizza, then this place will totally be your jam.
…and lots of it! (Which is totally a big thing for us mamas, right?!)
From play areas to pedestrian-only areas, Quartier DIX30 has thought of everything to cater to every member in your family.
…and yup, you guessed right: they’re totally family-friendly.
If you read my blog post from last week, you’ll know that I attended Quartier DIX30’s first ever block party.
It was seriously the best time.
In true Quartier DIX30 fashion, the event was full of life and colour. Walking through the lifestyle centre, you could spot an artist at every corner, painting crosswalks with impressive, full-of-life designs. DJs offered their talents and gave DIX30 an amazing musical vibe.
Plus, our family’s favourite part: huge games (umm, hello, life-size chess!) and inflatable chairs and flamingoes to keep the little ones entertained.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!
