I have been asked many times to do a post about how to make the fire force women archetype a little more palatable. Well, fire force women is very real for me. In particular, I have this image of women being a combination of fire and water. I know that many of us can relate to that.
I mean it doesn’t have to be so serious. It’s a very playful and sexy archetype and there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem is that it’s generally played for laughs and is not a serious force for good. A better, more serious way to play up this archetype would be to play it as a group of women being like a fire and water combination rather than a bunch of fire and water women.
As a group it is a lot more serious. I mean, it is a group of women with the ability to kill fire and water with their will. I find that amusing. I am not joking.
In reality that doesn’t work. If you are a fire and water woman you have to kill fire and water, not just with your will. This is also a stereotype of women that doesn’t really capture how women are often portrayed in movies and TV.
That said, as a group, they are awesome. This is because they have the ability to destroy fire and water with their will. I mean, they arent just fire and water. They are actually water-women. They are fire and water women with the ability to destroy fire.
They are also awesome, but, I know, not really in the same category as water and fire. Water is a more fluid substance. If you are a fire and water woman, you have to also have the ability to destroy water.
